Ballroom Dancer Audition Information
Auditions are open to all local Ballroom Dance enthusiast with current or prior experience.
Ballet Indiana invites ballroom dancers of all styles and experience levels to be part of the magic of Cinderella. This production is designed to celebrate dancers who love to perform and connect with live audiences, offering a unique opportunity to bring elegance, character & storytelling to the Victory Theatre stage.
Ballroom dancers play an essential role in shaping the world of Cinderella, adding sophistication, energy & theatrical flair to this timeless fairy tale. Rehearsals for ballroom roles will begin February 21, and we are currently casting select featured and ensemble roles for the Spring 2026 production.

When: Saturday, January 31, 3:30 - 4:40 pm
Where: School of Ballet Indiana - 303 N. Stockwell Dr., Evansville, IN 47715
*ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EARLY to complete registration and prepare for auditions.

Parent Meetings
Parent meetings will be held for dancers ages 7+ during their respective audition times, so please have at least one adult in your family plan to attend the meeting most convenient for you.
The parent meeting for our youngest dancers (age 3-6) will take place at School of Ballet Indiana on a different date. If for any reason an adult cannot attend a parent meeting, please Contact Us for further information.

DRESS CODE
Ladies
Please wear a black leotard, pink tights, and close-fitting pink ballet slippers. Dancers who have been studying pointe work for two years are invited to wear pointe shoes to audition. Please wear your hair secured neatly off the face and neck in a bun or twist.
Gentlemen
Please wear black tights or shorts, a black or white close-fitting t-shirt, and black or white ballet slippers.
Ladies

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
- Rehearsals for all participants are held each Saturday
- Age 3-6 held each Saturday, 10:15-10:45.
- Age 7+ held each Saturday noon -4:30 (detailed schedule TBD)
- Ballroom Dancers - held Saturdays beginning February 21.
- Additional rehearsals will be held during the week for intermediate and advanced dancers (SBI Levels 4-7 and equivalent), on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:15-8:30. Please note your availability on the participation form.
- NOT ALL DANCERS AND ACTORS WILL BE CALLED TO ALL REHEARSALS. Rehearsal schedules will be posted on the studio bulletin board and sent via email.
- Mandatory run-through rehearsals will be scheduled on Saturdays 1:30-5:30.
PERFORMANCE FEES
Participation Forms and signed Waivers are due at auditions.
- Performance Fees are due before the first scheduled rehearsal.
- Performance Fees include costumes, rehearsal time, a cast T-Shirt and access to digital recordings of performances.
